Patrick Norguet
French designer Patrick Norguet lives and works in Paris. Following his design studies at ENSCI in Paris, Nourget’s career received a major boost when he was commissioned to be in charge of all visual communications for Louis Vuitton. He made his breakthrough as a designer during the nineteen-nineties. In 2000 he chose to leave the prestigious company in order to start his own design studio where his work is characterized by a constant thrive to find new, exciting techniques. In 2002 he designed the successful Apollo chair for Artifort.
Norguet’s design is a synthesis of French elegance and Scandinavian sobriety. In his search for perennial and delicate archetypes he refers both to the Nordic identity privileging comfort, softness, nuances and everyday life as well a the French design history turned towards innovation, the industry and its fabrication process.
